Cover Reveal: ‘The Devil’s Revolver’ by V. S. McGrath

Hello, all! I’m in my new temporary residence and I’m ready to get back to reading and receiving boxes and sharing them all with you! While I managed to get some reading done to relax after long days of packing, I had to cut back on requesting ARCs because I wasn’t sure I could make the deadlines. I also had to cut back on the boxes I actually pay for due to saving for the move. However, things are finally getting settled, so I plan to have a book review posted in the next few days and I’ll have some subscription box reviews coming up within a week or so too. Today, I’d like to share a cover reveal for a novel coming out in early September. The story sounds like it’s gritty and action-packed. Combining the Wild West with paranormal elements? Awesome! I’m definitely adding it to my reading list. You should do the same. There are links below to add it to your Goodreads TBR list so you remember to order it when it comes out and you can check out the author’s website for more information. Have at it!

The Devil’s Revolver
V. S. McGrath
(The Devil’s Revolver Series, #1)
Publication date: September 5th 2017
Genres: Fantasy, Young Adult

She is Hettie Alabama — unlikely, scarred, single-minded, and blood bound to a revolver forged by a demon.

The first book in an epic, magic-clad series featuring the Wild West reimagined as a crosscultural stereoscope of interdimensional magic and hardship, The Devil’s Revolver opens with a shooting competition and takes off across the landscape after a brutal double murder and kidnapping — to which revenge is the only answer. Hettie Alabama, only seventeen years old, leads her crew of underdogs with her father’s cursed revolver, magicked to take a year off her life each time she fires it. It’s no way for a ranch girl to grow up, but grow up she does, her scars and determination to rescue her vulnerable younger sister deepening with every year of life she loses.

A sweeping and high-stakes saga that gilds familiar Western adventure with powerful magic and panoramic fantasy, The Devil’s Revolver is the last word and the blackest hat in the Weird West.
